Account information

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and optionally a profile photo. Authentication is handled by Clerk — we never store your password.

Practice videos and content

Students may upload practice videos for review by their assigned teacher. Videos are stored securely and are only visible to the student, their assigned teacher(s), and any pro reviewers explicitly invited by the teacher. No one else can access your videos.

Usage data

We collect information about how you use the app — pages visited, features used, and interactions — solely to improve the product. This data is never sold.

Device and push tokens

On mobile, we collect a push notification token to deliver notifications about grades, comments, and milestones. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device Settings.

Camera, microphone, and photo library

The Personal Dance Journey app requests access to your camera, microphone, and photo library only to record and upload practice videos. These permissions are never used for any other purpose.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following service providers, each bound by their own privacy commitments, and only to the extent necessary to operate the service:

Personal Dance Journey is not directed to children under 13. If a student is under 13, a parent or guardian must create and manage the account. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information promptly.

We retain your account data and content for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us below. Deleted data is removed within 30 days.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@palaisdedanse.studio. We will respond within 30 days.

We use HTTPS encryption, role-based access controls, and trusted third-party infrastructure to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but protecting your data is a priority we take seriously.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you via email or an in-app notification before the changes take effect. The date at the top of this page will always reflect when the policy was last updated.
